When I created Moli Brew, there was never any question about what the first coffee in the collection would be.
It had to be Guatemalan.
Not because it was trendy.
Not because it sounded good on a label.
But because it was personal.
I was born in Guatemala. Although I've only been back a handful of times and it's been nearly thirty years since my last visit, Guatemala has never stopped being part of who I am. My heritage, my culture, and the hardworking people who call it home have always shaped me in ways that are difficult to explain but impossible to ignore.
So when it came time to build Moli Brew, choosing a Guatemalan coffee wasn't simply a sourcing decision.
It was a way to honor where my story began.
Meet Guatemalan Baddie.
Confident.
Complex.
Entirely unbothered.
Just like the name suggests, Guatemalan Baddie doesn't try to blend in.
This medium roast begins as specialty-grade, single-origin coffee from the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, where approximately 400 family-owned farms cultivate coffee at elevations between 1,800 and 2,000 meters. Before roasting, the beans are aged in reclaimed whiskey barrels, adding remarkable depth and aroma without adding alcohol.
The result is a cup with rich notes of brown sugar, smooth nougat, and a bright citrus finish. It's balanced, approachable, and full of character.
Why a Whiskey Barrel?
People often ask if whiskey barrel-aged coffee contains alcohol.
It doesn't.
The whiskey barrel simply enhances the aroma and flavor during the aging process before roasting, creating a coffee with extra complexity while remaining completely alcohol-free.

Contains no alcohol. Just character.
