About the Coffee
Sourced from the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, this coffee is grown at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Fully washed and carefully dried using both sun and mechanical drying methods, it delivers a balanced cup with notes of lemon-lime, nougat, and brown sugar, complemented by a medium body and bright acidity.
This coffee comes from approximately 400 family-owned farms throughout the municipality of Huehuetenango. Most producers cultivate coffee on small plots of land alongside corn and beans grown for their own households. To help improve processing capabilities and access to international markets, producers partner with Unitrade Coffee, which operates a centrally located wet mill where coffee cherries are processed after harvest.
Beyond coffee, Unitrade supports local farming communities through CoffeeCare, an initiative focused on education, nutrition, and health. The program provides safe, supportive spaces for children to learn, grow, and play during the coffee harvest season, helping strengthen the communities behind every cup.
